They get work done with free tools no one in IT knows about.<\/p>\n<p>The less straightforward scenarios are where things get complicated. AI capabilities are quietly being embedded into the SaaS tools your organization already subscribes to, so people don&#8217;t think of it as something new. It often has its own data flows and retention policies that your security team has never reviewed, and, in some cases, were automatically opted into during a routine update.<\/p>\n<p>Savvy organizations routinely check approved SaaS tools for new changes as part of every vendor management audit.
