8 min read

We are all familiar with the importance of a website for any business. The website allows your business to access more customers and improve your sales. With the increasing competition in the digital world, accessing more customers is not that simple. Here comes the SEO. It is an amazing tool used by marketers to rank their websites and access more customers. If you are serious about your business then SEO hosting is something you should not ignore. You should be familiar with all SEO terms if you’re looking to optimize your website through SEO web hosting.

Unfortunately, while you may be familiar with terms, you may not realize how they should all be coming together to create the perfect storm of SEO hosting. If you’re new to the game of SEO or just looking to gather new information and perspectives, be sure you understand how SEO hosting works. In this article, I am going to share with you 12 things that you should know about SEO hosting.

Check out this article to learn some amazing facts about SEO web hosting.

Website Ranking

The primary purpose of SEO hosting is to rank your website higher in search engines. SEO hosting sets up a series of connected websites that tend to rank more highly in search engines. The websites are all linked through their IP addresses, but those IP addresses show up as unrelated in search engines. This means the block of websites you host using SEO hosting can be used to your advantage with linking and other SEO tactics. You can either go for organic SEO hosting or get SEO hosting services from any company. Many third-party service providers are offering affordable SEO hosting services to their clients. There is no doubt that SEO hosting is an amazing tool for ranking your website on search engines. You can also access them to save time and effort.

Understanding C-Class

SEO hosting is also known as C-class IP hosting that lets you create links among your sites, without having any impact on your search engine page ranking results. Through SEO hosting, you can have dedicated and unique IP addresses from the country of your choice, and each one is directed to the same server. The IP address is the key to linking websites through SEO hosting. The sites are all linked through the third set of numbers in an IP address or the C-class. This grouping connects the sites through the server allowing you to use shared hosting while presenting the sites are separate and apart.

SEO web hosting through Class C IP Addresses is a simple type of hosting that uses various C Class IP Addresses. When you do SEO Hosting through Class C IP Addresses, you are certain classes of IP addresses that you will provide data centers that can be found in various sections internationally and it also allows you to have numerous Class C IP Addresses.

Website Optimization

SEO hosting allows for greater flexibility in linking, which is a considerable component of SEO. To access maximum customers. You need to make your website optimized for the search engines using a good SEO strategy. When you build a loop or web of connected websites – that aren’t visibly connected – linking between these sites may help improve your SEO ranking in the Google algorithm. But there are more elements to the algorithm than linking alone. SEO hosting allows getting control over the back-office website elements that are important as coding and media.

Site Backups

Every good website host should provide regular site backups, and this is true for SEO hosting as well. With the interconnected and high-ranking websites that you maintain with SEO hosting, routine backups for the collection of sites are even more critically important. As we know in the online world nothing is certain, you can lose your online data anytime in case of hacking, system failure, or other accidents. In case of any accident, you will not just lose your data but your website’s SEO optimization would also be affected. Creating the backup would help you to restore your data and maintain the SEO of your website.

Increased Customer Support

SEO hosting is a level above the hosting type you’d find for just a single website. It stands to reason then that SEO hosting is going to have improved customer support over the more standard hosting options. When you are selecting a company for SEO hosting, customer service should be one of the most important criteria for your selection. You might have seen on the internet that web hosting companies offer a higher level of customer support for SEO hosting solutions. Higher customer support also has a huge impact on the overall SEO of your website.

Set-up Time

When you select SEO hosting, be aware that it is not a quick process to get your site set up and live. While a standard hosting package may be live almost instantly, SEO hosting involves an intricate set-up of connections and therefore can take up to 24 hours to bring fully online. Plan accordingly for the delay in your development and launch plans.

One thing you should keep in mind is that Search Engine Optimization is not just about adding the meta descriptions and keywords in your website to a high rank in search SEO results. As rankings’ competition continues to increase, some main search engines like Bing and Google look at many aspects such as server location, loading speeds, backups, security, accessibility, and uptimes to control your website placement in search results.

Website Limits

When you arrange for SEO hosting, you are setting up almost unlimited possibilities for sites, email addresses, and domain names – all under a single connected package. This means that not only does your first website not have limits on design or size (based on the package you get, obviously), but you will also be able to use that same service to build a full network with unlimited possibilities.

While getting the SEO hosting service from the third-party service provider you should carefully look at the services they are offering along with their limitations. Remember, more limitations can hurt you in the future and you may have to shift to another service provider. So, you need to understand the long-term needs of your website in mind to get the right SEO service online.

Looping Websites

Many business models call for connected websites outside of just SEO purposes. SEO web hosting allows you to keep your various branches of business contained in a single entity and also to intentionally create loops within loops as needed for both linking and directing traffic through your business model or marketing website. Linking together your business’s websites is a good SEO practice.

You might have experienced that promoting the second website is easier than promoting your first website. It happens because you already have a website and you can link it to the second website which helps your second website to optimize. So, if you have more than one website under one business then you should connect them all to improve your SEO ratings. Website linking is a good option to promote your websites and it is one of the major search engine optimization tools.

Contact Information

Each website you create is connected through a hidden network, but Google still can see every website. It doesn’t do you much good to have a web of websites through SEO hosting if you’re going to put the same contact information on each site – outing yourself, as it were, to Google. Consider the contact information you put on each website – use phone numbers dedicated to each site, for example – rather than duplicating your information across a network.

It is recommended to use separate contact information such as phone numbers, emails, addresses, etc. for each website. It is good SEO tips that you should be following for websites’ SEO optimization. If you use the same contact information on all websites, then no matter how many websites you have made under your business, Google will not promote them as separate entities.

Size Matters

When arranging SEO hosting, size does matter. You are building a network of websites. That website will need room to grow into the future and getting less than 20 GB of hosting is just not going to be enough to be worthwhile. It is always better to have slightly too much than risk not having enough when it’s time to scale the project. So, never underestimate the size of hosting to do successful web hosting in the long run.

Watch Bandwidth

When it comes to SEO hosting, always keep an eye on bandwidth numbers as well. You will need plenty of bandwidth to accommodate all of the traffic to each of your sites and between them, so make arrangements accordingly. Top sites in the search engines require top traffic and you need to be ready to accommodate it. Watch for low limits and inflated “overage” charges when you are making selections.

Think in the long term, maybe for now the bandwidth is enough for your website but in the future when the traffic of your website will increase, the need for bandwidth will also increase.

Grey Hat, Black Hat, and White Hat SEO

Finally, it is worth noting that SEO hosting is only as good and ethical as the website owner. Ultimately it is up to you to choose how to most effectively use SEO hosting. It is possible to use black hat SEO methods with SEO hosting, but it is also possible to do everything above question and simply take advantage of one more SEO tool. Intent makes it a positive or negative one. Keep in mind, that black hat SEO methods are no more useful.

In the past, many web marketers have been using black hat SEO methods to improve their online ranking, but with the changing algorithms of Google, now it is not possible to promote your website using black hat methods. So, it is recommended to use white hat SEO methods to promote your website because it is going to benefit your website in the long run.

Wrapping Up!

In this article, there is a debate on different aspects of SEO web hosting such as website ranking, c-class, website optimization, site back-ups, customer support, set-up time, website limits, looping websites, contact information, size matters, watch bandwidth, grey hat, black hat and white hat SEO. All of the aspects related to SEO have an impact on your website ranking. Understanding SEO is important to make your website credible enough to generate more leads and rank on search engines. Google and other search engines create algorithms. Website owners and webmasters try to figure out how to work in the algorithm using every advantage they can find to improve their rankings. For many, SEO hosting is simply a necessary step toward the ultimate goal – free website traffic.

I hope the information that I have shared in this article about SEO hosting will be informative for you and will help you in the future to maintain good SEO of your website. If you still have any questions regarding SEO hosting, you can ask me in the comments section below.

  • Joy Healey

Thanks Oleg, that was an interesting article, because the concept of SEO hosting was new to me.

I took a long time to find a hosting solution I was happy with. The biggest mistake I made was assuming that the cheap hosting solution I (ill-advisedly) used in my first online venture was making backups. My sites were hacked and I lost the lot, with no backups.

    Joy – Blogging After Dark

    • Oleg Calugher

      Hey Joy,
      Thank you for the comment,

Yeah, even if your webhost does make backups, you should still keep some backups offline. Always good to keep a safe and recent copy of your site off line in case something goes wrong,

      thanks,
      – Oleg

  • Ryan Biddulph

    Hi Oleg,

Like Joy, I was not familiar with SEO hosting before reading your article. Fab piece.

I see storage as huge in this area. As noted; better to overshoot and have excess gigs to play with versus not having enough to go through, because you don’t wanna ever be short on the storage side of things.

    Thanks much 🙂

    Ryan

    • Oleg Calugher

      Hey Ryan,

      Thank you for the comment,
Yeah, always good to keep some extra gigs, just to be safe … and you should have a good connection with your host in case you need extra resources in quick time – say you get featured on TV or hit Reddit or goes viral on some other social site in a big way – and the last thing you need in a situation like that is a low on resources server with almost no response from your webhost,

      thanks,
      – Oleg

  • Lisa P. Sicard

Hi Oleg, I’ve been with Hostagor for almost 6 years as my 2nd hosting company and love their 24/7 service. I try to always back up before making any changes to my site and when I complete new posts. It’s come in handy as I’ve made a few mistakes and haven’t lost anything because of their great service. Having a great host is important because SEO would tank if you site was offline for some time.
    Great advice!

  • Vashishtha Kapoor

This information makes me so keen to test a Linux shared hosting. However, I wanted to try with only single IP with a single website. How much would be the price for that.
I already knew that unique IP boosts the website SEO as it can never be in connection with a bad website on the same server. If I can get a separate IP, this would be awesome.

  • Austin Hill

    Hi Vashishtha:
Small SEO hosting plan will cost you $2 per month:
5 GB of Storage and 40 GB of Bandwidth
    24/7/365 Support
    1 IP Address Included
    Excellent choice for small websites.

This is special customized SEO package, design for users with single website.
Please register yourself at Temok and let us know our support to setup account for you.
You can upgrade your plan anytime later

  • Jayant Gosain

That is a great piece of information. Web hosting things are really messy. Every company claims that their service is superior to others. but in the end, very few of them actually means that. Thanks for sharing the info.

  • Susan Velez

    Hi Oleg,

Wow SEO hosting, I’ve never heard of that before. I can however, see it becoming popular as so many people are always looking for ways to improve the SEO of their website.

I agree, bandwidth is extremely important when choosing a hosting account. The last thing you want is to get a flood of traffic only to find that you’ve exceeded your bandwidth.

While I have to admit, I really don’t know that much about hosting. But it’s nice to know that there are plenty of other people who can tell us what to look for when choosing a hosting account. Thanks for sharing your expertise with us Oleg.

    Have a great day.

    Susan

  • Enstine Muki

    Hi Oleg,
Thanks for throwing more light on this.
But isn’t this black hat? It could be considered gaming google, making it to think you are on different servers whereas everything is on shared space.

    Just a thought

    • Oleg Calugher

      Hi Enstine,

Welcome to Temok and thank you for the comment,
Good to see you here 🙂

Anything black hat pretty much depends on the Intent – and the Purpose of doing it. SEO hosting makes Google to think that you are on a separate server – it could be a good thing depending on the Intent.

If you have too many sites, it is not necessary that you are inter-linking those sites – You just want to keep your footprints clear, then I don’t see it as Black Hat.

Ultimately, Google or any other search engine will rank a site on the top for which you are competing and if your content is better than the one which is ranking on the top – then whatever technique you use to reach there is white hat, because the end user is happy with you and is thankful to Google for sending you on top of the SERPs,

      Thanks,
      – Oleg

  • Nishant

Hello Olge, That was a good article. The concept of SEO hosting is new to me. Thanks for the intro.

  • seif@textbullet.com

    Hi Oleg,
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t this what’s used for private blog networks? In this case, wouldn’t it be risky as far as google is concerned?
    Thanks!

    • Oleg Calugher

Hi Seif, nice to meet you.

we know Google’s algorithms are targeting PBNs to devalue them, or deindex them completely.

Make sure you have Unique C-class IP addresses. , Unique nameservers , Unique SOA email addresses .

iF you have PBN blogs and they have different A, B or C class IP addresses, you are safe. IP addresses look like A.B.C.D (ex. 127.192.1.27). If only the last number, or D class, is different between different PrivateBlogNetworks blogs then they will not pass extra ranking power to your website and you will also start to accumulate risk of de-indexation.

    • Oleg Calugher

      Hey Seif,

Yes, the PBNs do use this sometimes – but that does not necessarily mean that everything gets flagged because of it. If the SEO hosting provided is good, then it will keep your footprints clean and safe.

Do note that PBNs are thinking along the same lines as you are – and they do buy normal hosting packages, VPS, dedicated servers – and pretty much everything – so it isn’t really a good idea to base your own decision based on what others might use.

      thanks,
      – Oleg

    Hi,

Wonderful article, you have shared some interesting and useful tips to know about seo hosting.

    Thanks

  • Abigail

Never Knew about these – Good & Informative Article !

  • Nikhil Makwana

    Wait a minute.

I am a little bit confuse about the term you used “SEO Hosting,” I have heard the term “WordPress Hosting, ” but SEO hosting is a little bit ugly.

12 different thing you have listed are good for SEO, and yes it is true that we need to pick the best hosting service for blog/website. Slow Speed of a website, bandwidth exceed, low disk space, caching issue, and few more factors can affect the SERPs. But these all have little value compare to content and other optimization techniques.

    • Oleg Calugher

      Hey Nikhil,

Good to see you here, am a big fan of your blog!

Yeah, totally agreed that ultimately valuable content is what matters – it is what attracts people! But surely, you don’t want a slow website? so I guess everything adds up and one should make sure that their website is good on all the factors!

      thanks,
      – Oleg

  • swaloven

    Hi
i never know before reading your article these things
Thank you for sharing your awesome and great knowledge
but still i have a question,
which hosting is best and cheap if my website traffic is more than 200k per day?
    i am waiting your reply

    • Oleg Calugher

      Hey Swaloven,

Welcome to Temok and thank you for the comment,
Always good to hear positive feedback,

200k traffic a day seems like a pretty strong website – I would go for a dedicated server for a site that big,
much would depends on the Type of site though (social, blog, tool etc.)

Feel free to make a reply to this comment with more details and will get a technician from Temok to give you a more specific answer to this,

      thanks,
      – Oleg
